The idea
What Beanios is
A place to actually understand your numbers, not just get a single answer. Most financial calculators give you one output and move on. Beanios is built around comparison: what happens if you put down 15% instead of 20%? What does a 30-year term cost you that a 15-year term doesn't? Every calculator is designed to answer "what does changing this one thing do," not just "what's my payment."
We publish our methodology. Every formula, every assumption, every input we include and exclude is written down and linked from the calculator itself. If a number surprises you, you can go check exactly how we got it.
The boundaries
What Beanios is not
Most calculator sites are lead-gen forms wearing a calculator costume. Beanios isn't.
- Not a lead funnel. No "connect with a lender," no selling your info, no rate quotes disguised as results.
- Not a black box. Every calculation is documented on the methodology page. Nothing is hidden behind "our proprietary algorithm."
- Not asking for your phone number to see a number you should just get to see. That's the whole point.
- Not pretending to be advice. These are estimates for understanding tradeoffs, not a substitute for a lender, advisor, or accountant.
How it stays free
On ads
Beanios runs on ads, and we're upfront about that. What we can promise is what happens while you're using the calculator: you won't be funneled toward a lender, you won't be asked for your phone number to unlock a result, and nothing here is designed to extract your contact info before it'll give you an answer. We can't control every ad that runs on the page, but we can control the actual product, and that annoying stuff is a lot of why we built this in the first place.
